U.S. Chamber of Commerce Endorses Bachmann for Re-Election

Blaine, Minn. — The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the world’s largest business federation, has endorsed Congresswoman Michele Bachmann for re-election citing her strong “pro-growth, pro-jobs record.”

“Michele Bachmann understands that free enterprise, not more government, will lead the American recovery,” said Rob Engstrom, the U.S. Chamber’s senior vice president and national political director. “On behalf of the world’s largest business federation, we’re proud to endorse Bachmann and highlight her pro-growth, pro-jobs record,” Engstrom said.

“I am highly honored to receive the endorsement of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce,” Bachmann said. “As a small business owner and former federal tax lawyer, I understand how crippling the increased taxes and burdensome regulations coming from Washington are for America’s job creators. It’s time for government to get out of the way and let businesses start growing again. I am working tirelessly everyday to put in place the pro-growth policies we need to create jobs and put the American people back to work.”

In an interview on KNSI’s Ox in the Afternoon yesterday, Doug Loon, the U.S. Chamber’s vice president for the Midwest region, talked about Bachmann’s strong pro-business record on issues like domestic energy production, reducing the regulatory burden, and repealing Obamacare. ”Your record on that speaks volumes about your understanding of the business community as a small business owner, and we are proud to offer you the U.S. Chamber’s endorsement this year for your re-election,” Loon said on KNSI.
